Anna Holmström
Anna Holmström is a multidisciplinary artist whose work explores nature, human connection and sustainability. Born and raised in the Swedish countryside, she draws inspiration from the relationship between people, their surroundings and the world we share.
Her interest for movement started with Rhythmic Gymnastics. She has won the Swedish Championships for youths and represented the National Team of Sweden in international competitions throughout Europe between 2002-2008. Her curiosity for movement and choreography grew and Anna continued her studies in dance at the Royal Swedish Ballet School and Diambra Dance Education in Stockholm.
Since 2010 Anna has worked as a soloist dancer in large scale productions such as the world tours Message in A Bottle at the Sydney Opera House, produced by Sadler’s Well’s as well as Flying Bach together with the Flying Steps.
In 2015, Anna founded Petricore Movement, an company where she, together with artists from all over the world, creates thought-provoking dance performances, workshops, dance films and exhibitions. Her debut solo “Debris”, created together with composer Patrick Zylka on the theme of plastic litter in the world’s oceans has toured throughout Europe and the USA.
